ME Assistant Professor Grace Gu is a recipient of the 2019 3M Non-Tenured Faculty Award (NTFA). This competitive award recognizes outstanding young faculty who were nominated by 3M researchers and selected based on their research, experience, and academic leadership. In addition, this award also provides financial support of $15,000 per year for up to three years. Gu was recognized for her research on the development of advanced additive manufacturing technologies and was invited to attend 3M’s Science and Engineering Faculty Day in June this year, where recipients had the opportunity to interact with various research teams at 3M. Gu’s 3M sponsor was Dr. Itai Stein, who is a researcher at 3M. The award is administered by 3M’s Research and Development Community in partnership with 3M’s Corporate Giving Program.
Congratulations, Professor Gu!
