Dr. Brad Edgar is co-founder, President, and CEO of 44 Energy Technologies and Red Fox Resources. 44 Energy is a boutique consulting firm focused on energy and environmental technology and regulatory affairs. Red Fox serves the truck, bus, and heavy equipment industry by providing recycling and remanufacturing services for catalyst based emission control equipment. Brad also serves as Chair of Voltaire Compressor Solutions and is owner of Lineaus Athletic Company.
Brad has a proven track record as an inventor, technology developer, and entrepreneur. Prior to starting Red Fox Resources, Brad was founder of several technology companies in the field of energy and emissions, most recently Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls, a developer of heavy-duty diesel emission control systems.
Brad has focused his career on engines, combustion, and emissions. He is the author of numerous papers and presentations, and is the inventor or co-inventor of 11 United States Patents, primarily related to combustion and emission control technology.
In 2011 Brad received the prestigious Haagen-Smit Clean Air Award in the category of Science and Technology from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Brad received his B.S (’90) and Ph.D. (’97) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California. While at Berkeley, Brad was 4 year letter winner for the Cal football team and in 1989 he won the J. Scott Duncan award for most valuable special teams player.
