As the Americas Academic Program manager at National Instruments, Zachary Nelson directs the sales, marketing and proficiency programs.
During his 13 years at NI, Zach has held positions in sales, marketing, and applications engineering. Zach created the academic field engineering group in 2004 and helped guide its expansion throughout the United States and worldwide. In his latest role he created the Americas Academic Program in 2012 and has guided it expansion throughout North and South America.
Throughout his career at NI, Zach has been dedicated to engineering education. He has devoted significant effort to enhancing relationships NI has with universities around the world. He helped open the NI Berkeley office in 2009 as a result of the partnership between NI and the University of California, Berkeley.
Zach graduated from the University of Washington in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He and his wife, Bethany, reside in San Francisco, California, with their daughter Sadie and dog Gabby.
